Day 29

Once again, Monday is for following up the weekend business. I am in the process of arranging dates and times for my inspections later on this week and have followed up most of my visitors from the weekend.

I am also going to be given another patch of turf to work. We have recently opened a new office, and need to crack the area, so myself and a few other in my office are going to be doing some doorknocking, getting some listings and putting a few 'for sale' signs up. I find that (unsurprisingly) the more I doorknock and cold-call the more enjoyable it becomes. You do get the occasional difficult person here and there, which adds to the challenge, but often it is almost (dare I say it) fun.

Considering how integral a part of building a database and successful career in this industry, I suppose it is just as well that I don't mind the work...

Tip of the Day:

When deciding on a patch to doorknock and become known in, start small. Having an entire suburb can be very daunting, so set yourself a couple of streets to begin with. Once you are familiar with those streets (i.e. you know what the properties are worth, and for the most part, who the owners are) then you can expand your turf. Don't spread yourself too thinly.
