Days 54, 55 & 56
With my day off on Friday, this was a long 'weekend'. Of course 'weekend' takes on totally different meaning when you are at the beck and call of your phone and opening homes.
With one property under contract, I have less open home work to conduct - which is something I must remedy. The tragedy of making a sale is that you have also lost a listing.
The real highlight of the weekend was the purchase of my own property though. I am officially a property investor, and very pleased with the apartment that I have purchased. If all goes according to plan, this will be the first of a great many.
Tip of the Day:
Never bemoan the large number of neighbours your open homes will attract. Some vendors will be irritated by the 'stickybeaks', but the fact is that many of these people will have friends and relatives who may be interested in moving into the area - or they may be thinking of making a move out of the area themselves. These people are a great source of referrals, and you should give them as much attention as any other potential buyer.
