Day 43

If nothing else today had the kind of excitement and interest that only unpredictable people can conjure. My keen buyers (who, for the record, are an elderly couple) spoke to thier son, who pointed out that buying a house with stairs was probably not the best idea for them (it's a fair point, and I wouldn't be offended if they decided not to proceed based on this). So, by mid-morning, they were off the buyer list and I wasn't proceeding any further with them.

A few hours later and I recieve a call from them - they really want the house, but won't buy it unless they know for sure that they can put a stair lift in, should they need one down the track. I did some research into these lifts, and found that, yes it wouldn't be a problem.

Upon calling them back to deliver the news, they are talking to their son again, who seems to be making more negative noises, but nonetheless, I am going to go out and meet them tomorrow, and with luck put something on paper. We shall see how things go.

Tip of the Day:

When working on the business end of a sale, don't forget to continue prospecting and looking for new listings. If you drop all your listing activities to put a sale together, you will find that once the sale is gone, you are behind the 8-ball with no listings and nothing to sell.
