Day 38
Wednesday means writing ads.
In today's case, it meant writing ads an taking photographs for future ads and marketing materials. Taking photos of a single house isn't too bad, but when you need to get a few key shots of an entire development, the process gets a little harder. 93 photos later, I was done. Thank the Lord for digital cameras.
I also spent some serious time with the online phonebook verifying addresses and phone numbers for a few hundred people that will soon be recieving a mailout and then a phone call from me.
My day was disruped however, by one of my clients cancelling an inspection 45 minutes before it was due to go ahead. This is not just rude, but when you have arranged an inspection, the home owner (who in this case has three young boys) has cleaned her entire apartment and prepared for it - this really annoys you (not to mention them).
Tip of the Day:
If an inspection cancels on you, and you have time and can swing it, take someone else through the home. It doesn't matter if they are not that interested - but at least the owner won't be left feeling like they did work for absolutely nothing. If you bring them enough cancellations, regardless of whether it is your fault or not, they will associate the negative results with you, damaging your reputation and your chances of getting more business from them.
