Day 32
Ever wondered how long it would take to photocopy and fold 652 single page newsletters for distribution? Less time than you would think. I would also like to give a big shoutout to the inventor of the automatic paper-folding machine. Sure, it jams up sometimes and can be very frustrating, but it beats doing it yourself.
As you can probably guess, today was sorting out my newsletters to do a big drop early next week in my new patch. I also took some time out to meet a few residents at another one of my complexes, and have a bit of a look around there, while I don't think I am going to get a sale out of anyone that I spoke to today, it seems like the sort of place where the residents do talk to each other a bit, and hopefully word will get out that there is a nice young real estate agent who brings you chocolate if you agree to meet him.
I've said it before; Who turns down free chocolate? Seriously!
I am also waiting with baited breath to see what the outcome of yesterdays inspection will be, I believe that the offer was presented to the owner this evening, so I should know first thing in the morning how everything is panning out. I am quite excited, but I really don't want to get my hopes up, becuase it is as likely as not that the deal won't go ahead.
Tip of the Day:
Keep your clients in the loop. If you have two clients interested in the same property, let them both know how things are progressing (obviously without releasing any priveledged information). Even if one (or both) miss out, they will appreciate the openness and honesty and will be happy to deal with you in the future.
