Day 25

Today wasn't a bad day at all, I spoke to the vendor of a house that I have some people interested in, and the vendor seems very keen to sell it - keen to the point where they are going to recarpet the entire place for them and give a nice long settlement. All I need to do is get the buyers to lay down a deposit.

I also followed through on my cold calling from the other day, and went to meet a few residents of the building I am working. I am convinced the building isn't home to anybody under the age of about sixty. I did meet an avid bridge-player who had served in WW2 along with South Australia's first registered female real estate agent. A few more visits and meetings and my name should be getting out there - just how I want it.

Tip of the Day:

When you are visiting someone for the first time, take along a small gift. They are taking the time to meet you, so show some gratitude. A couple of chocolates or something similar will usually go down well. Not only will you be remembered as the person that brought them a gift, but next time when you talk to them you can ask "What did you think of/How was the gift?"

If word of our actions gets out, you will probably find it easier to visit others too - who turns down free chocolate?!
