Day 17
Wednesday, and the deadline for weekend advertising. Along with my existing listing, I have managed to get myself a nice beachfront apartment to open on the weekend. Let's face it, if you are going to aim to share a commission, it might as well be the commission on a $1.3m property.
I have also managed to wrangle myself a side project - if I can find a suitable block of land for some customers, I can secure the exclusive listing of their million dollar home. Why they can't look for themselves, I don't know - and I don't care!
Tip of the Day:
Regardless of your current workload, if someone offers the entire office the opportunity to go after a saleable listing with a high comission, jump at the chance and throw yourself into it. You can always pass the job off on someone else later. In your early days in the office, you will have less on your plate than your colleagues, and consequently be better positioned to take advantage of these opportunities.
Needless to say, you should treat these as bonuses, and maintain focus on your 'everyday' work - collecting listings in your target areas.
