Day 12
Hectic. That's what today was. Non-stop, flat-out hectic. Why? Becuase I was preparing for my first (two) open home(s), which I am doing over the weekend. Next week pretty much everything will be prepared, but today was a flury of activity as I put together all the various forms that were needed, got the properties listed properly on our database, prepared all my handouts and rustled up some signage.
A minor, but frustrating, computer glitch at about 4pm in the afternoon did little to assist me.
Regardless, I am ready. I have two homes to open from 11-12 and 12-1 this weekend, and I would consider at least one of them to be a good buy. The other? Well, we'll see how things go.
Tip of the Day:
If you have the opportunity to list and open a home in an area where you want to be active, but don't think the house itself is particularly saleable, do it anyway. By the end of the weekend, you will have a list of people who are interested in buying in the area, and the minute you find something that suits them, you will be able to pick up a phone and let them know. It's a good way to put together a buyer database to call upon later.
